Chelsea fans have now been told by Jermaine Pennant that Harry Kane might be moving to Stamford Bridge this summer.

The 40-year-old made the bold claim when speaking on talkSPORT.

So, what did Pennant say about Harry Kane in full? Let’s take a look…

What’s the story?

Well, Pennant claimed that a ‘top source’ has told him Kane could be joining Chelsea this summer.

He said: “I’ve got a little bit of news for you. Well, I wouldn’t say news, but I have it from good sources that Harry Kane might be going to Chelsea. I am not winding you up here. It’s quite a top source, a top notch source.”

That is quite the claim from Pennant.

It comes after talkSPORT already reported that Mauricio Pochettino would love to be reunited with the England international at Stamford Bridge this summer when he officially takes over from Frank Lampard.

Kane has enjoyed another remarkable campaign in an underwhelming Tottenham side, scoring 30 goals in 48 appearances.

The 29-year-old also became England’s all-time top scorer back in March with a penalty against Italy, his 54th goal for the Three Lions.

Kane also scored against Manchester City back in February to become Tottenham’s record goalscorer.

Kane has asked to leave amid Chelsea rumours

Interestingly, Kane has actually asked to leave Tottenham as speculation about a move to Chelsea grows.

A story from Cadena SER in Spain claimed that the Tottenham No.10 has asked Daniel Levy to let him go if a bid is made for his services this summer, after growing even more disillusioned with life in north London.

Kane also famously tried to leave Spurs in 2021 after handing in a transfer request, although his efforts to depart were blocked by Tottenham.

Now – if Pennant’s sources are to be trusted – the Londoner could finally be leaving Tottenham for Chelsea.
