Axel Disasi is currently out of the first-team picture at Chelsea, but will he find a new club during the remaining hours of the summer transfer window?
Axel Disasi, who joined Chelsea two years ago, has had a mixed spell at Stamford Bridge. While he was an important first-team player under Mauricio Pochettino during his debut campaign with the Blues, he slipped down the pecking order last term under Enzo Maresca. In fact, he was loaned out to Aston Villa for the second half of last season.
Chelsea have been working on offloading Disasi, who’s been among the unwanted Blues players training away from the senior group.
Disasi, who can play as a centre-half or right-back, has the quality to do well in the Premier League. From his perspective, he desperately needs to find a last-minute switch to go and play football somewhere this season.

West Ham remain in talks with Chelsea over Axel Disasi
West Ham asked about taking Disasi on loan earlier today, and it sounds like the deal may still be alive.
With less than two hours left of the transfer window, journalist Jacob Steinberg reports via X that West Ham are still in discussions with Chelsea over a potential Disasi transfer.
Apparently, Graham Potter’s side have been unsure about the finances for the 27-year-old defender, but they are ‘looking for a solution’ during negotiations.
Newcastle United kept an eye on Disasi earlier in the window, but it sounds like the Chelsea central defender is relying on a late rescue mission from West Ham.

West Ham could be very busy
West Ham won their first game of the Premier League season at the weekend by winning away at Nottingham Forest. It turns out they’re following it up with a chaotic deadline day.
Journalist Jack Rosser has claimed via X that the Hammers could yet still sign both Disasi and Brighton’s Igor Julio to bolster the defence at the London Stadium.
For what it’s worth, we think Disasi would surprise people and do well in West Ham colours. Let’s wait and see if there’s any significant movement for any type of transfer deal, though.
