The sheer size of Chelsea’s current squad right now means it’s no surprise that many individuals are linked with exits.

Chelsea have until the transfer window closes on 30 August to reshape their squad, but there should be a fear they’re left with too many players in the building once again.

Remarkably, they’re about to welcome another new face at Stamford Bridge. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed via X that Chelsea have agreed to sign Atletico Madrid’s Samu Omorodion for £35m.

There’s still a number of Blues players tipped with potential exits, including Trevoh Chalobah.

The one fear for new head coach Enzo Maresca is that he’s left with an oversized group of stars in his debut year.

Crystal Palace seriously eyeing Trevoh Chalobah

According to The Telegraph, Chelsea have made Chalobah available in the transfer market after leaving him off their pre-season tour of the United States this summer.

It is understood that the Blues value their English defender at £25m, and his sale would go down as pure profit on their books as he’s an academy graduate.

The report says that Palace are giving ‘serious consideration’ to 25-year-old Chalobah as they plan for the potential exit of Marc Guehi to Newcastle United.

Apparently, Chalobah is well liked by several clubs as he continues to train with the Chelsea academy, but there’s still not been any firm offers. Premier League teams such as Palace, Fulham, Aston Villa and Tottenham could all be in the market for a central defender before the summer window closes.

Jamie O’Hara finds it “unbelievable” that Chelsea may sell Chalobah fresh off his great form last season, as quoted by talkSPORT. However, the Blues are moving forward with a different set of centre-backs they trust in.

Clubs should queue up for Trevoh Chalobah

When fit and firing, Chalobah is a very consistent performer in the Premier League and a potential steal at £25m in the current market.

The ball-playing centre-half, who can also play at right-back, looked fantastic towards the back end of last season. He played in 13 of the final 14 league matches as Chelsea discovered form to sneak sixth spot.

For any Premier League club that is deliberating Chalobah as a potential signing, they should definitely pull the trigger to get him. As for Chelsea fans, they should be worried that this another super talent they’re prepared to let go.
