Premier League side Aston Villa have just been linked with a player in Chelsea’s first-team squad.
There’s now only three days left in this summer transfer window, so it’ll be interesting to see how many individuals leave Stamford Bridge this week. From the outside look in, it does feel like the Blues could do with offloading more players, especially those currently isolated away from the first-team squad.
Interestingly, Villa have just been linked with a star in Chelsea’s senior group right now. This comes at a time when the Blues are rumoured to be interested in a Villa player, too.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano recently claimed via Playback that everyone should keep an eye on Chelsea’s interest in Villa striker Jhon Duran.

Aston Villa like Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson
According to CaughtOffside, Villa are open to the idea of signing a new striker in the remaining days of the summer window.
It is understood that Unai Emery’s side are looking at several different options in attack, including Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson.
The report says that Villa have monitored the 23-year-old Blues attacker for over a year and he’s a preferred target on their transfer radar.
Apparently, the Midlands giants are evaluating whether there’s room to hold concrete negotiations for Jackson’s signature and to see if a move is actually realistic.
How should Chelsea respond?
We’d like to see Chelsea firmly shut the door on any talk of Jackson possibly leaving the club. In fact, we think the £32m Senegalese forward (The Guardian) is about to enjoy a strong second season as a Blues player.
He could do with some extra competition at the top end of the pitch, but he’s shown so many great attributes as a player and potential to grow into something quite special. His aim should be to beat last season’s tally of 17 goals across all competitions.
Mauricio Pochettino described Jackson as “amazing” last season via Chelsea’s official website, and he’s someone that is definitely maturing into a quality striker.
