Bournemouth have already signed Djordje Petrovic from Chelsea this summer, and now they’re linked with another raid on Stamford Bridge.
Like Chelsea, there are plenty of ins and outs at Bournemouth so far in the summer transfer window.
After a successful season-long loan spell with the Cherries last year, goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga returned to the Blues and has since been sold to Arsenal. However, Bournemouth found their replacement by signing shot-stopper Djordje Petrovic from Chelsea on a permanent basis.
Chelsea fans fear they will regret selling Petrovic, who now gets another crack in the Premier League after a superb loan spell at Strasbourg in Ligue 1 last season.

Chelsea youngster Josh Acheampong on Bournemouth’s radar
According to BBC Sport, Bournemouth want to improve their backline after selling central defender Dean Huijsen to Real Madrid for £50m. On top of that, they also sold left-back Milos Kerkez to Liverpool for £40m to decimate half of their back four.
The report claims that Chelsea defender Josh Acheampong, 19, is one of the alternative options on Bournemouth’s shortlist this summer.
Apparently, Chelsea are only entertaining loan offers for their academy graduate, who is seeking assurances over his game time going into next season.
Earlier in the window, Crystal Palace enquired about signing Acheampong on a season-long loan for the 2025/26 campaign. While we don’t doubt he can play an important role in Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea squad, it will be interesting to see if his development is fast-tracked with a spell out on loan.

Big decision to make on Josh Acheampong
Without a doubt, Acheampong should have a long and successful career at Chelsea. The versatile defender, who can play right-back or centre-half, looked at ease after breaking into the Blues first team from the academy last season.

There is an argument to be made that the English teenager would benefit massively from regular minutes at a rival Premier League club, with Bournemouth an interesting potential suitor.
Benoit Badiashile backs Acheampong to become a “top, top player” in the future. Perhaps he can get there even quicker with a loan stint at a top-flight club for next year. If not, he would still be a useful option for Chelsea next season.
