PSG are now stepping up their pursuit of Wilfried Zaha – a player who is also wanted by Chelsea this summer.
That is according to Fabrizio Romano.

What’s the story?
Well – according to the Daily Mail – Chelsea are among the most serious contenders to sign Zaha on a free transfer this summer, as Mauricio Pochettino holds a long term admiration for the attacker and wanted him at Tottenham.
The Ivory Coast international’s contract at Crystal Palace is set to expire at the end of June.
Now – however – PSG are accelerating their interest in Zaha, who Michael Owen called “one of the most talented players in the Premier League” back in March.
Romano believes PSG are currently working on a deal to sign the 30-year-old on a free transfer after losing Lionel Messi to Inter Miami.
Neymar may also be departing the Parc des Princes – CBS Sports believe Saudi Arabia could be an option for the Brazilian, who le10sport believe has been the subject of interest from Chelsea as well.
Clearly – whether it’s Neymar or Zaha – Pochettino would like a new winger at Stamford Bridge.
Zaha would be a bargain for Chelsea
In a summer where Chelsea have a number of problem areas to sort out – which will be an expensive job – a free transfer for Zaha would help add quality depth for little cost.
The Blues would only need to pay the Ivorian a salary, which we wouldn’t expect to go beyond the £200,000-a-week Crystal Palace are currently offering him to stay.
Of course, that may sound like a lot, but free agents usually receive a larger wage as there is no transfer fee involved.
Nevertheless, PSG pose a genuine threat to Chelsea in the race to sign Zaha, as the Parisians can offer Champions League football as well as the chance to play alongside a superstar in Kylian Mbappe.
