Reports have claimed that Everton midfielder Amadou Onana has rejected an offer to join Chelsea this month.
According to Foot Mercato, the Belgium international has decided he wants to stay with Everton for the remainder of the season.
The midfielder is one of numerous targets in the position Chelsea have looked at in an attempt to put the final touches on what has been a sensational January transfer window.

They’ve turned their attentions to the Premier League asset late in the window in an attempt to cash in on the catastrophe that is going on at Goodison Park.
Everton have recently sacked Frank Lampard, with him being let down by the performances of fellow target Anthony Gordon after his head was turned last summer.
Onana rejects Chelsea offer
With this being the case, the Blues attempted to cash in and sign the 21-year-old, who has been one of the shining lights of the miserable season they have endured.
However, Foot Mercato have claimed after an accelerated attempt to sign Onana, the player has rejected the move.
Whether it is down to his belief of how much game time he will get, or if he is holding out for a better move elsewhere at the end of the season, it looks as if he won’t be making the move to West London.

The pursuit of a central midfielder has evaded them throughout the month in fact.
They have angered Benfica to the point where they will only accept the release clause in order to sell Enzo Fernandez to Chelsea, seemingly ruling out the chance of that move happening.
Moises Caicedo has been another player they have been in the market to sign, although again they have ran into a club unwilling to negotiate in the form of Brighton.
