Enzo Fernandez will reportedly miss another of Benfica’s matches amidst the transfer saga with Chelsea.
According to A BOLA, the midfielder won’t take part in the Primeira Liga fixture against Portimonense this evening.
Should Fernandez dip out of club duty tonight, it will add another twist in the tale of his interaction with Chelsea.
It is no secret that Todd Boehly has been trying to sign the Argentine this month, a deal that has been far from straightforward.
Benfica understandably want to keep hold of the 21-year-old until the end of the season, due to the prizes at stake in their respective campaign.

Only a major offer will seemingly turn their head, one that Chelsea are apparently not prepared to commit to.
Boehly would probably have to make Fernandez the most expensive player in Premier League history to adhere to the Portuguese side’s wishes.
This is some title for a young man who has only really risen to prominence thanks to the World Cup.
Enzo Fernandez wants out
Graham Potter is admittedly in need of a midfield revamp, with N’Golo Kante and Jorginho potentially set to leave in the summer.
But are his requirements really at record-breaking level?
Fernandez will hope so, as he attempts to join the ranks at Stamford Bridge.

He has already missed training and disobeyed Benfica rules in an effort to force a move to Chelsea.
His absence from the game later today points towards the Argentina international pushing for the exit even more.
