Barcelona are now reportedly setting their sights on Chelsea’s Mason Mount as a transfer target.
According to Foot Mercato, Spanish heavyweights Barcelona are preparing for what could be a “historic” summer transfer window with some marquee additions.
The report lists several possible targets on their radar, including integral Chelsea player Mount. They are looking at RB Leipzig’s Christopher Nkunku to try bolster their midfield, too.
This isn’t the first time Barcelona has recently been linked with a transfer raid on Stamford Bridge.
It’s been reported that Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen has already agreed a move to the Camp Nou for next season on a free transfer when his contract expires.

Chelsea shouldn’t entertain idea
There is no way the Blues should even consider listening to transfer offers for Mount.
Barcelona’s interest seems fairly loose at present, but it won’t be a surprise to hear top clubs sniffing around for players like Mount.
The 23-year-old shouldn’t be sold under any circumstance.
Most of the club’s fanbase are hopeful Blues manager Thomas Tuchel is given the freedom to build the squad how he likes once the new ownership arrives.
For certain, Mount shouldobe part of the long-term plans.
He’s an attacking midfielder that’s made several key contributions this season, scoring eight goals and setting up 12 assists across all competitions this campaign.
It’s fair to say he’s still searching to find his top level on a consistent basis, which is why he sometimes can divide opinion.
However, he’s one of the individuals that deserves a big tick by his name.
