Hakim Ziyech reportedly hopped on a plane last night and landed in Paris to potentially push forward a move from Chelsea.

According to Le Parisien, the £33m attacker arrived in the French capital yesterday, ahead of possibly signing for Paris Saint-Germain.

PSG have made a late dash to sign the Morocco international, with the player himself seemingly set upon joining the Ligue 1 leaders.

Ziyech has been heavily linked with a departure from Stamford Bridge this month, a transfer accelerated thanks to the arrival of several new forwards.

Joao Felix, Noni Madueke and Mykhailo Mudryk all landed at Cobham at various stages in January, providing competition for those already stationed in Graham Potter’s squad.

Out of the current front line, Ziyech’s position always felt the most under threat.

Christian Pulisic is injured, meaning he won’t be going anywhere on deadline.

There have been suggestions that Raheem Sterling could leave, but he too is in recovery, which might save him until the summer.

Mason Mount isn’t going anywhere just yet, whilst Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang can only re-sign for Barcelona.

Therefore, Ziyech is the only real viable name to be sacrificed for the wave of fresh faces.

Can he really be blamed for wanting to link up with Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe?
