Barcelona expect to reach agreements over pre-contracts with two Chelsea players; Cesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen, according to Sport.
The Spanish publication claims that Barcelona plan to focus their financial resources on a centre-forward in the upcoming summer transfer window.
So, they are reportedly looking at potential free transfers to strengthen other areas of the pitch.
Two of these potential free signings are Azpilicueta and Christensen whose contracts at Chelsea expire at the end of the season.
The report added that Barcelona have already been in contact with the two players’ representatives and the next few days will be decisive.

In Azpilicueta’s case, Sport claims that Barcelona have “practically signed” him on a three-year contract.
Meanwhile, the Catalan club had stopped negotiations with Christensen to speak with other targets, but have since re-opened the talks.
They have reportedly made an offer to the Denmark international and are expecting an answer in the next week.
Christensen himself is said to consider Barcelona as a priority option.

Barcelona’s offers would be attractive to both Azpilicueta and Christensen
It seems very unlikely that Chelsea themselves are not in talks with the two players’ representatives over extension deals at the moment.
Azpilicueta, in particular, is clearly an influential figure in the dressing room.
However, Chelsea rarely offer more than a one-year contract for players over 30, and Barcelona’s reported three-year contract offer would obviously provide more financial security for the player.
On the other hand, Chelsea had reportedly believed that they had reached an agreement twice with Christensen before the defender turned down the offers.
A recent report from Sky Germany mentioned that the centre-back is now looking for a contract worth at least €10million-a-year (£8.3m). That would be double that of his reported €5m-a-year (£4.16m) current salary at Chelsea.
