Reports suggest Chelsea are already considering a move to sign Christopher Nkunku next summer.
According to The Telegraph, the Blues would sign him to take over from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, if he signs this summer from Barcelona.
The Frenchman has developed into one of the better attackers in football over the last two seasons, with him being described as “world-class” by a former coach at RB Leipzig.

The Blues were reportedly interested in a deal for him earlier this summer, with them amongst some of Europe’s elite in wanting to sign him.
However, he ended up signing a new contract with the club, leaving him set to form an intriguing strike partnership with former Blue Timo Werner.
Chelsea want Nkunku next summer
Despite the new deal, it was widely claimed this would include a more than affordable release clause for a player of his calibre active from next summer.
This has seemingly alerted Chelsea to the possibility of striking a deal, with The Telegraph claiming they are already eyeing up the signing as a long-term solution to their attacking woes.
Their current fix is signing Barcelona’s Aubameyang, with the club reportedly growing in confidence that they can convince him to join this summer.

However, his age means he will not be a permanent solution to Thomas Tuchel’s goal woes, despite the German’s eagerness to add him to their ranks.
There will undoubtedly be a host of competition for the Leipzig man next summer, so Chelsea will need to go big if they are to make him theirs.
However, his goalscoring ability in a top league as well as in European football have suggested he has the qualities to be one of the best in world football, despite being just 24 years of age. He would certainly be a sensational coup if the Blues get there first next summer.
