Report: Chelsea approached about 'amazing' Blues loanee, want at least £50m

Chelsea would reportedly want at least £50million to think about selling their talented youngster Conor Gallagher.

The 22-year-old’s come through the academy but is really shooting to fame during his season-long loan spell with Premier League rivals Crystal Palace.

According to GOAL, Palace have made an approach to try sign the England international on a permanent basis.

However, the report explains Chelsea are valuing their midfielder at least £50million. Therefore, a number of suitors are already priced out before talks can even begin.

It’s previously been reported Blues manager Thomas Tuchel has already made his mind up on Gallagher and plans to integrate him into the squad at Stamford Bridge next season when he returns from his loan.

Gallagher’s been shining at Selhurst Park as a box-to-box midfielder for Palace, scoring eight goals and setting up five assists across all competitions.

There aren’t many across the Premier League that have as much energy as him for 90 minutes, too.

Gallagher, previously described as “amazing” by Owen Hargreaves, must have seen his price tag multiply at a rapid rate over the course of the last few months. That’s why it’s great news he’s already a Chelsea-owned player.

Chelsea already own next batch

It looks like the Blues already own the youngsters that can follow in the footsteps of Mason Mount and Reece James.

Gallagher, Armando Broja and Levi Colwill are some of the standout Chelsea players shining away from the club on loan.

Hopefully, they’re given the chance and are good enough to impress next season.
