Chelsea are reportedly booking in a medical for Monaco’s Benoit Badiashile.
According to 90min, the Blues are closing in on a deal to sign the 21-year-old defender from French side Monaco.
It is understood that the clubs have been in discussions over a £30million transfer, which is now close to completion.
The report says that Graham Potter’s side are now booking in for the young centre-back to have a medical ahead of a transfer to Stamford Bridge.
Also, 90min notes that personal terms are agreed and Chelsea fully expect him to be their player soon.

Chelsea medical for Benoit Badiashile
It’s always exciting for supporters when news emerges of a player’s medical.
Badiashile looks like being a first-team signing for Chelsea in the January window, which should give a boost to a defence that has looked depleted at times this season.
Monaco’s left-footed centre-half has played 135 first-team games for his club. He’s got two senior international caps for France, too.

A lot of the talk in the Chelsea fanbase right now is around the pursuit of Benfica’s Enzo Fernandez, who’s heavily linked with the Blues right now in the transfer rumour mill.
Fabrizio Romano reports 21-year-old Fernandez is pushing for a move to the Premier League amid interest from Chelsea.
This is definitely allowing the Badiashile transfer to fly under the radar a little.
It’s obvious the Blues are moving in a direction to try bring some of the world’s best young players to the club, so it’ll be interesting to see where Monaco’s rising talent fits into Potter’s squad if he signs.
