Chelsea target Yunus Musah reportedly wants to leave current club Valencia and could be available to sign for around £17million.

Musah, 20, is a World Cup star that caught the eye in the past few weeks with the United States, who exited the tournament in the knockout rounds.

The all-action central midfielder really impressed with his tireless work rate for the U.S.

90min recently claimed that Chelsea have made contact with Musah’s representatives to show their intent in signing the Valencia talent.

Yunus Musah wants to leave Valencia

According to The Athletic, Musah is ready to leave Spanish club Valencia and try a fresh challenge elsewhere.

It is understood that Valencia are willing to sell him for north of €20million (£17million) due to their current financial position.

The report mentions a number of Premier League sides are eyeing him, too.

On paper, Musah looks tailor-made to be a success in the Premier League given his physical attributes as a central midfielder.

Chelsea have overspent on a number of players in recent transfer windows, but Valencia’s highly rated youngster looks good value for money.

Graham Potter’s Blues side definitely needs to address the centre of the park, with both Jorginho and N’Golo Kante currently out of contract at the end of the season.

Musah could really fit nicely into a Potter line-up with his high energy and quality. Is the American good enough at this moment of time to start regularly at Stamford Bridge, though?
