Chelsea could soon submit an offer for Celta Vigo midfielder Gabri Veiga.
That is according to The Guardian.
We heard from Football.London earlier this month that Chelsea were monitoring Gabri Veiga, but he wasn’t considered a priority target.
Now, it sounds like the Blues are ramping up their interest in the 21-year-old star.

The Guardian reports that Chelsea are planning to rival Barcelona and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool to sign Veiga.
It is understood that the player’s got a £34million release clause in his deal with Spanish La Liga club Celta Vigo.
The report adds that sources indicate Chelsea could soon make a bid for him.

Veiga is a box-to-box midfielder that represents a really interesting target for Chelsea.
Despite his youth, he impressed last season with 11 league goals in a Celta Vigo side that finished in the bottom half of La Liga.
The Spain Under-21 international fits the Blues mould when it comes to targeting some of Europe’s most exciting rising stars, but is he good enough to walk straight into the starting line-up at Stamford Bridge?
In our view, Chelsea’s priority in the centre of the park should be centred around signing a No 6 to act as a defensive midfielder.
We feel Veiga would be a much more suitable target for Chelsea if they get rid of someone like Conor Gallagher, who can be a goalscoring threat from midfield when he’s on form. Incidentally, 90min report that Premier League side Brighton are in talks right now with Chelsea to sign Gallagher.
