Chelsea have cooled their interest in signing Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister, according to reports.
Football London claims that Chelsea’s interest in Alexis Mac Allister has been cooled and they’ve left the door wide open for Liverpool to get him.
The report explains that Chelsea were really keen on bringing the 24-year-old midfielder to Stamford Bridge, but they’ve now taken a step back in the transfer pursuit for Brighton’s talented star.
It is understood that Liverpool are ramping up their interest and it looks like he could be playing at Anfield next season.

Journalist Ben Jacobs reported earlier this year on CaughtOffside that Chelsea were admirers of £60million-rated ace Mac Allister.
There’s nobody that should be surprised if he makes a big-money move away from Brighton this summer.
The versatile midfielder, who can play as a No 6, No 8 or No 10, has been in sensational form at the Amex Stadium this season.
Of course, his reputation was only enhanced further by his contribution in Argentina winning the World Cup last winter as well.

Mac Allister has scored 12 goals in 35 games across all competitions this season for Brighton. Incidentally, that’s more than anyone in the Chelsea squad.
He looks the complete midfielder with what he can do both defensively and offensively, so his next club will be signing one hell of a player.
It’s interesting to note that The Daily Mail claimed this week that Mauricio Pochettino wants to sign a new central midfielder if he becomes Chelsea’s next permanent manager.
We certainly would’ve enjoyed an international reunion between Mac Allister and Enzo Fernandez in the Blues midfielder, but speculation suggests that won’t happen now.
