Mauricio Pochettino has identified three signings he wants Chelsea to make this summer, according to reports.
Mauricio Pochettino, who’s strongly linked with becoming the next permanent Blues manager, is already drafting up transfer plans behind the scenes.
The Daily Mail claims that Pochettino has highlighted the need to strengthen in three positions on the pitch.
It is understood that the 51-year-old coach wants Chelsea to bring in a new goalkeeper, a central midfielder and a striker to the squad at Stamford Bridge.
In particular, the report says he’s looking for a midfielder to be the long-term partner of Blues star Enzo Fernandez in the centre of the pitch.
Furthermore, the Daily Mail says there’s hope Pochettino can complete a deal this week to become Chelsea’s next head coach.

The Athletic reported yesterday that Chelsea could finally conclude their search this week to appoint their manager for next season. They explain Pochettino is still the strong favourite to be appointed and will take charge in the summer, which means interim boss Frank Lampard will remain in the dugout for the final four games of this campaign.
It certainly looks like the former Spurs boss will be taking the reigns at Chelsea.
We don’t envy him walking into a Blues role that requires a lot of work right now after a hugely underwhelming campaign.
However, there’s definitely a lot of potential and excitement in this group if he can fit the pieces together.

The spine of Chelsea’s team really needs addressing, so we’re delighted to read the report above.
In particular, finding someone to play alongside 22-year-old midfielder Fernandez makes total sense.
In our view, Chelsea need to go out this summer and find a genuine No.6 to slot into the starting line-up. Our choice would be West Ham captain Declan Rice.
