Chelsea are reportedly prepared to send David Datro Fofana out on loan on deadline day.

According to Santi Aouna, the Stamford Bridge chain of command have no issue with letting the new signing leave today.

Fofana only become a Blue earlier in the month, following his move from Norwegian team Molde.

Yet, the young striker has made just one substitute appearance under Graham Potter so far, and already looks rather surplus to requirements.

A loan spell would not be biggest surprise, nor the worst idea in the world, for the forward.

Santi Aouna claim that French side Nice are interested in acquiring Fofana before the winter window slams shut.

Negotiations between Nice and the 20-year-old’s representatives apparently commenced weeks ago.

Bayer Leverkusen are also said to be intrigued by the idea of taking the Ivorian on loan for the rest of the season.

There is clearly a gap in the market for Fofana to flourish away from the confines of Cobham.

Conor Gallagher proved that last year by excelling at Crystal Palace, a player who could also be on the move in the next few hours.

Gallagher has attracted plenty of suitors from across the Premier League, noticeable Newcastle United, but Chelsea are reluctant to sell him to a rival.
