Bayer Leverkusen ace Kai Havertz is reportedly eager to leave his current club with Chelsea leading the race to sign the attacking midfielder.
There have been several reports about Chelsea’s pursuit of the 21-year-old recently.
The Guardian‘s report says Chelsea are the favourites to sign Havertz who “cannot wait a year before leaving Leverkusen”.
The report also said a move to London appeals to the player.
The Independent journalist Kevin Palmer reported that Havertz has already “set his heart” on a move to Chelsea this summer.
Although the transfer fee is still to be agreed, the signing would be a statement from Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, he added.
