Chelsea are now reportedly interested in Borussia Dortmund’s Youssoufa Moukoko.

According to The Athletic, the Stamford Bridge chain of command are ‘exploring the possibility’ of signing the teenager in the summer.

Moukoko has certainly earned the right to be admired by the Premier League side due to his epic rise in the last few years.

He hurtled towards fame when he became the Bundesliga’s youngest ever player at just 16 in 2020.

His birthday was celebrated the day before appearing in the 5-2 victory over Hertha BSC.

It was also a significant Saturday for Erling Haaland, who scored four times to slightly overshadow his younger teammates league debut.

Yet, not to take all the limelight away from Dortmund’s junior forward, Haaland hyped up Moukoko in his post-match interview.

“I think he’s the biggest talent in the world right now. He’s 16 years and one day old, that’s amazing. He has a big career ahead of him. We’re lucky to have him,” said the Norway international.

That’s some compliment from the man who is believed by many to be the biggest talent in the world.

But if Haaland can recognise the ability, then everyone else should take notice.

Which is exactly what Chelsea have seemingly done.

Todd Boehly appears to be sounding out the more youthful end of the market, with Jude Bellingham (19), Josko Gvardiol (20) and Joao Felix (23) all linked.

It doesn’t get much more evanescent than Moukoko, who at 18 also become the youngest player to represent Germany at a World Cup when he came off the bench in Qatar.
