Marcos Alonso is reportedly likely to leave Stamford Bridge this summer if Marc Cucurella joins Chelsea from Brighton.
According to the Daily Mail, Cucurella’s expected arrival in West London could result in the Blues selling Alonso.
The report adds Alonso would then get his desired wish to join Barcelona.
It’s been claimed this week that Chelsea are willing to meet the £50million valuation of Brighton left-back Cucurella. He’s reportedly even agreed personal terms ahead of a transfer to the Bridge, too.

Alonso to leave if Cucurella joins
It sounds like Alonso may finally leave Chelsea after six years at the club.
The £100,000-a-week left wing-back has provided some memorable moments in Blues colours, which has included winning trophies such as the Premier League, Champions League, Europa League and FA Cup.
However, there’s always been unrest in the fanbase about his defensive vulnerability.
It was reported earlier in the window that Alonso was on the verge of joining Barcelona, so perhaps this is a deal that can now be rekindled this summer.
He’s still a Spain international in his prime years as a 31-year-old, but there’s no reason for Chelsea to keep him if they have both Cucurella and Ben Chilwell in the new season competing on the left flank.

Will miss his goals
It makes sense for all parties if Alonso leaves this month, but there’s no doubt Chelsea will miss his knack for popping up with goals.
He’s an underrated finisher that gets into some great attacking positions high up the pitch when deployed as a wing-back.
The left-footer finished with five goals and six assists across all competitions last season for the Blues, which is a valuable contribution when you consider there’s no goal machine at striker.
He can leave with his head held very high if he does leave for Barca.
