Chelsea have now been offered the chance to sign Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa this summer.

That is according yesterday’s report from 90min.

Porto keeper Diogo Costa, who’s just 23, has been linked with a potential switch to the Premier League during this summer transfer window.

Record claimed last week that Chelsea do consider Costa a potential transfer target.

The Blues could soon have a vacant spot in the goalkeeper position, with Edouard Mendy the latest high-profile star heading for Saudi Arabia. According to the Evening Standard, 31-year-old Mendy is close to joining Al-Ahli in a £16million deal.

90min claims that Porto have contacted several Premier League clubs to offer them Costa amid fears of breaking Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations.

It is understood that Chelsea and Manchester United have both been in discussions with the Portuguese giants about the 23-year-old.

The report claims that Costa, who’s got a release clause worth £65million, is admired by both Chelsea and United.

So, which English side will blink first to try sign the Portugal international?

Costa is a modern day keeper with great quality on the ball and he’s developing into a top player.

He kept 20 clean sheets in 41 games across all competitions last season for Porto, which included some decent performances on the Champions League stage.

In our view, Costa would be a decent addition to compete with Kepa Arrizabalaga, who’s the current No 1 at Chelsea.
