Chelsea are prepared to sell Mateo Kovacic in this summer transfer window for the right price, according to reports.
ESPN claims that Chelsea are willing to offload Mateo Kovacic if they receive a transfer fee in the region of £35 million.
It is understood that Premier League champions Manchester City are currently discussing a deal to sign the 29-year-old Blues star, but haven’t reached an agreement yet over a fee.
This comes after claims from journalist Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, who said that Man City are in ‘concrete talks’ with Chelsea to sign Kovacic.

Kovacic was described as “really important” to the Chelsea squad earlier in the season by Graham Potter, which does feel like an age ago now.
However, it does highlight what a blow it will be if Kovacic does exit Stamford Bridge this summer.
With just one year remaining on his Blues deal, the central midfielder’s exit could make sense for all parties.
We would have been happy to see the Croatia international extend his stay in west London, though.

Kovacic may finally start getting the credit he deserves from neutrals if he joins up with Pep Guardiola’s dynamic Man City side.
It usually does take individuals a year to get to grips with Guardiola’s style of player, but our guess is Kovacic is tailor-made for him and will hit the ground running next season in Manchester.
His form has dipped in the 2022/23 campaign, along with most of his Chelsea teammates, but he’s still a special talent.
We would have to accept and be fairly happy with a £35million transfer fee if the Blues can squeeze that out of Man Ciy.
