Italian top-flight club Spezia are reportedly in talks to sign Chelsea youngster Ethan Ampadu this summer.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Serie A outfit are now in discussions for the 21-year-old and intend on wrapping up a deal quickly for him.
It is explained the Blues are willing to let the Wales international go, too.
Despite rumours of a potential exit from Stamford Bridge, Chelsea’s first-team boss Thomas Tuchel has spoke glowingly about Ampadu this summer.
He’s had minutes in pre-season matches alongside senior players, plus Tuchel said last month he’s been “training very well”.

Spezia in talks to sign Ampadu
It sounds like Ampadu may be on his way back to Italy after a season-long loan spell last year with Venezia, who were ultimately relegated from Serie A.
The Chelsea talent is an extremely versatile star that has shown plenty of quality as both a centre-back or defensive midfielder in his career.
Ampadu, who’s got 35 senior caps for Wales already, has caught the eye in pre-season. It may not be enough to keep him in the Blues first-team squad in the new season, though.
His flexibility between positions means he could be such a useful option in the group, especially if he continues to develop and impress.

Chelsea youngsters
It remains to be seen what will happen with the crop of young Blues stars that have been involved during pre-season.
Levi Colwill, linked with a move to Brighton, is someone whose future is very intriguing.
If Chelsea do allow both Ampadu and Colwill to depart, they’re going to look even thinner of options for centre-back.
