Chelsea definitely don’t want to sell Armando Broja this summer, according to reports.
The Evening Standard claims that Chelsea’s hierarchy don’t consider Armando Broja as one of the Blues players who could be sold in the upcoming transfer window.
It’s no secret that the Blues are operating with a gigantic squad that desperately needs cutting. Broja appears to be liked by the club’s senior figures, though.
The report claims that the 21-year-old wants to try impress Chelsea’s next permanent manager, expected to be Mauricio Pochettino, during the pre-season.
It is understood that the striker’s recovery from a long-term knee injury is ahead of schedule, so he’s targeting a return to playing when the club visits the United States for pre-season games against Wrexham, Newcastle, Fulham, Brighton and Borussia Dortmund.

We’re delighted to hear in the report above that Broja is back in ‘light training’.
It’s even better news that the young centre-forward is set to get his opportunity next season!
He was desperately unlucky to pick up a serious knee injury last winter because we were confident he could have played an important role in the second half of the season. Likewise, Jason Cundy said back in February Chelsea have missed Broja this campaign.
Chelsea have played without a genuine No 9 fairly frequently in the past few months, so it must have been tough for Broja watching on from the sidelines.

The success of Harry Kane when working under Mauricio Pochettino could be a really positive sign for Broja.
According to The Mirror, Chelsea plan to announce Pochettino as their new manager this week and he’s already got plans for Blues star N’Golo Kante.
We think Broja could be a really intriguing player under him, too.
The Chelsea youngster has shown during his senior career so far he’s a hungry striker with a lot of superb physical and technical attributes. This injury blow will hopefully make him mentally tougher now as well.
Pochettino could be the right type of manager to help unlock Broja’s full potential.
