Reports from Italy have claimed that Chelsea have slashed their asking price in order to sell Hakim Ziyech.

According to Di Marzio, the Blues are looking for just £17.5m in order to part ways with the 29-year-old who they signed in 2020.

This season has presented another which Ziyech has struggled to nail down any regular gametime under either Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter.

The Morocco international is yet to score this season, as his time at Stamford Bridge looks set to come to an end soon.

Injuries to the likes of Christian Pulisic and Raheem Sterling had given Ziyech more of a chance to feature recently, and he went some way to taking it with a brilliant assist for the goal against Crystal Palace.

However, this month has only suggested he will begin to feature even less if he stays in West London.

The Blues have added Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke as outright wingers this month in an attempt to bring some excitement back to Stamford Bridge.

This could explain why Di Marzio are claiming that Chelsea have slashed the price they will accept in order to part ways with Ziyech.

After a brilliant World Cup campaign with Morocco, there may have been some hope that it could’ve been the catalyst for a revival of his form at Stamford Bridge.

Unfortunately, this hasn’t seemed to be the case. It just looks as if his style of play simply does not suit the intensity that comes with playing for a top Premier League team.

The report from Di Marzio claims that Serie A side Roma have established Ziyech as their number one target for the remainder of the January transfer window, with them set to lose their own star Nicolo Zaniolo.
