Chelsea are reportedly keeping an eye on Fulham midfielder Andreas Pereira amid uncertainty over Mason Mount’s future at Stamford Bridge.

According to ESPN, the Blues are among several clubs monitoring the 27-year-old, who has had a solid season at neighbouring Fulham.

Pereira has so far registered two goals and six assists for Fulham and is only below Aleksandar Mitrovic in terms of direct goal contributions for the club.

The report adds that Chelsea see him as a potential target to replace Mount, whom they could sell this summer.

The negotiations over a contract extension with Mount, whose current deal expires in 2024, have stalled, and Chelsea are expected to listen to offers for the midfielder if the two parties fail to reach an agreement.

ESPN mentions that Chelsea’s Premier League rivals; Liverpool, Manchester United, and Manchester City; are all interested in the 24-year-old.

If Chelsea were to make a move for Pereira this summer, they are expected to face competition from Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain.

The French club, who are currently dealing with Financial Fair Play concerns, reportedly see the Brazil international as a potential cost-effective signing.

Pereira is said to be happy at Fulham but would unlikely to turn down an opportunity to join one of Europe’s top sides.

He is tied to Fulham until 2026 with the option of another year, however, which means the club will have a strong say in any transfer negotiations.

They reportedly value the player between £25million and £35m.

His contract reportedly includes a relegation release clause at £15m, but considering Fulham are sitting ninth in the league, this is effectively irrelevant, at least for this summer.
