Chelsea are reportedly ready to offer a huge long-term contract to AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The 21-year-old will be out of contract with the Rossoneri by summer 2021.
Donnarumma recently reiterated his love of the club, suggesting a possible new deal at the San Siro.
He told AC Milan’s official website: “The Rossoneri colours mean a lot to me because I grew up here. I have always been a Milan fan and I can’t help but give my best for this shirt.
“The first goal is the one I share with the club and the one we have set ourselves at the beginning of the season.”
But a report from Italian publication Tuttosport claims Milan have yet to satisfy the renewal deal proposed by Donnaruma’s agent Mino Raiola in recent months.
This could force Milan to cash in this summer to avoid losing one of their biggest assets for free by the end of next season.
The report also said Chelsea are prepared to table a five-year deal which is worth €8million (£7.1m) per year for the Italy international.
Donnarumma has kept the joint-most clean sheets (9) in Serie A this season.
With Willy Caballero entering the final months of his Chelsea contract, and Kepa Arizzabalaga’s underwhelming performance this season, Frank Lampard is reportedly keen on bringing Donnarumma to Stamford Bridge.
