Chelsea are reportedly interested in Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries, but he may cost too much to sign.
Dumfries, 26, is a talented defender that plays a key role for Italian giants Milan.
The right wing-back has played 16 games across all competitions already this season, starring in both Serie A and the Champions League group stages.
He’s a speedster that offers a brilliant attacking threat in wide areas, chipping in with two goals and two assists this campaign.

Dumfries may cost too much
According to 90min, Chelsea are planning to strengthen in the right wing-back position due to the injury to Reece James.
It is understood that the Blues were admirers of Dumfries in the recent summer transfer window and remain interested in him again now.
The report does concede that the main obstacle that could make Graham Potter’s side walk away from any transfer is his price tag, albeit there’s no official valuation on how much Inter would demand for their full-back.
Described as “amazing to watch” by Ally McCoist at last summer’s Euros, Dumfries is a powerhouse up and down the wing that has everything you want in a modern wing-back.
Chelsea have used the likes of Christian Pulisic, Cesar Azpilicueta and Ruben Loftus-Cheek at right wing-back to fill the James void, so it’s clear how badly they need to bring in a fresh face in that role.

Calcio Mercato previously claimed Dumfries likes the idea of joining Chelsea in the future.
If he’s not overly expensive, the flying Dutchman would be a superb addition to the squad at Stamford Bridge.
It would be ridiculously difficult to leave him or James out of the XI if both were fit, but Potter is the kind of shrewd tactician he could probably find a way for both to play effectively.
