Chelsea will hold fresh talks with Mason Mount next week about his future, according to reports.

90min claims that Chelsea’s hierarchy plan to have talks with Mason Mount next week regarding his future at Stamford Bridge.

It is understood that the Blues are moving to accelerate contract talks with the 24-year-old, whose current deal at Stamford Bridge expires at the end of next season.

The report claims that incoming Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino wants Mount to stay and be central to his plans.

However, 90min names Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle United as interested buyers that could try sign him this summer if he becomes available.

The Daily Mail explained today that Chelsea will look to sell Mount if they can’t convince him to agree a contract extension at the club. This comes when Man United are prepared to bid £55million to sign the £85million-rated Blues playmaker.

It does sound like Blues supporters are getting closer to finding out the attacking midfielder’s future.

We’re not surprised a host of top sides are rumoured to be circling for his signature, but this new speculation suggests Chelsea are having one final crack to secure his future.

He’s been such a vital figure in the last few years at Stamford Bridge, so losing him now would be a real blow.

Most supporters will agree that there needs to be a major clear-out this summer of Chelsea’s squad, particularly when it comes to the list of creative attackers.

However, Mount is one of the rare individuals in that area of the pitch that has proven in the past they can be consistent for the Blues.

The ‘fantastic’ Englishman needs to be kept at all costs!
