Chelsea will reportedly be at Milan Skriniar’s front door if he decides not to renew his Inter Milan contract.
According to Calciomercato, Todd Boehly is ‘ready to step in’ the second Skriniar potentially becomes a free agent at the end of the season.
The defender’s deal with Inter expires in June, and the club are eager to ensure he is around for at least another campaign.
His employers have already apparently offered him a new contract and the captain’s armband to hopefully keep him on board a little longer.

It is now down the Slovakian international whether he wants to continue his San Siro story or not.
Chelsea are still chasing Milan Skriniar
If Skriniar decides to say goodbye to the Serie A side, it seems Chelsea will be waiting with open arms.
Boehly could do with adding extra manpower to Graham Potter’s defence, one that has failed miserably in the past few matches.
Potter’s back-line consists of ageing players in Thiago Silva and Kalidou Koulibaly, the underwhelming Marc Cucurella, and injured or recovering duo Reece James and Ben Chilwell.
Trevoh Chalobah, along with Silva, is the only member of the protective unit that has remained consistent this term.
Skriniar is the epitome of consistency, having started all but one of Inter’s league games in 2022/23.

In fact, he hasn’t missed a top flight fixture since the end of February.
His ‘irreplaceable’ and experienced figure could be highly beneficial to Chelsea’s stuttering project.
But to add such quality will of course come at a price; potentially £70m, to be precise, if Boehly wanted Skriniar in January.
Or, the Stamford Bridge chief could try hold out until the summer and try snap the centre-back up on a free.
