Chelsea are reportedly making their next bid for Leicester City star Wesley Fofana imminently.
The Telegraph claims the Blues will make a third offer to sign the 21-year-old defender before they play next. Incidentally, Chelsea’s next fixture is actually at home to Leicester this Saturday in the Premier League.
It is understood Thomas Tuchel’s side will table yet another bid for Fofana, who’s still got a hefty price tag on his head of £80million.
Fofana was left out of the match day squad for Leicester’s defeat to Southampton on Saturday, with Foxes manager Brendan Rodgers confirming he wasn’t in the right frame of mind to play amid his ongoing transfer saga.
The French centre-back has been heavily linked with a transfer to Stamford Bridge for a couple of weeks now.

Chelsea bid for Wesley Fofana
Let’s hope it’s third time lucky with the push to sign Fofana.
Obviously, Chelsea need him to join as soon as possible to help reinforce the defensive options.
Tuchel has decided to play Reece James as a third centre-back recently, leaving Trevoh Chalobah and Cesar Azpilicueta as options from the bench. He simply has to be starting in his preferred right wing-back spot, though.
Fofana arriving should allow James to play further up the pitch.

It’s well discussed how many problems Chelsea have in the forward areas of the pitch, but there’s no doubt the defence is becoming a big cause for concern.
Described as “amazing” by Rodgers in the past, Fofana has the skillset to walk straight into the Chelsea line-up and improve it.
He’s a talented centre-back that should immediately fit the Blues system with his comfort and quality on the ball, as well as his aggression and pace in defensive situations.
