A Spanish report has claimed Bayer Leverkusen ace Kai Havertz wants to play for Real Madrid and is willing to wait despite Chelsea being the front runners to his signature.
The 21-year-old is one of the hottest prospects in Europe at the moment. Versatile, creative and a goalscorer, you can easily understand why.
Several recent reports have linked the Germany international with a move to Stamford Bridge, but Spanish outlet Marca has claimed that Havertz prefers a switch to the Santiago Bernabeu instead.

The report said the Blues are in the pole position to sign the attacking midfielder, but also added that he wants to play for Real Madrid and is ready to wait for the Spanish capital team’s offer.
They also mentioned that Havertz is currently under a lot of pressure to accept one of many offers coming in for him in the summer.
Earlier Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge admitted that signing Havertz is financially impossible for Bayern, although they could still make a move should he stay for another year at Leverkusen (Sport1).
And based on the recent reports, it is fair to assume Real Madrid would be Chelsea’s biggest competitors in pursuit of Havertz.

Being on top of La Liga table at the moment, Real Madrid would guarantee Champions League football next season, while Chelsea are still in the battle for the Premier League top four.
However, Chelsea who have a project under Frank Lampard having already signed Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner is an attractive option, the report added.
