Jorginho is reportedly unhappy with his current situation at Chelsea with Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri still keen on a reunion with his former ace.
The 28-year0old had a 15-minute cameo when Chelsea escaped with a 3-2 win against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park and it was all action he has had since the Premier League restart.
Looking at 26 Premier League appearances (23 of those as a starter) prior to the competition stoppage this season, this has been a drastic change for the Jorginho.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has used N’Golo Kante at the base of the midfield three and even picked teenager Billy Gilmour to start in Kante’s absence which suggest Jorginho may currently be third in the pecking order.
It is not a surprise pundit Gary Neville believes Jorginho’s career at Stamford Bridge is coming to an end.
“You have to think that he [Jorginho] is being managed out of Stamford Bridge,” the former Manchester United defender told Sky Sports (as quoted by the Metro).
“I think it’s been clear from the moment Frank Lampard came in that he wants to build a young and hungry squad.
“Frank Lampard has got a clear plan.”
A report from Goal also supports this argument, claiming Jorginho is currently unhappy at Chelsea.
Juventus manager Sarri is still keen on bringing his former player to Turin, but leaving Chelsea in current post-lockdown transfer market climate will not be easy to pull off, the report added.
Chelsea will reportedly want to recoup the £57 million they paid to Napoli in 2018 should they decide to sell Jorginho this summer.
Having already landed Arthur from Barcelona, it’s unlikely they would spend big to land another midfielder.
