Atletico Madrid have reportedly offered Chelsea the chance to sign Matheus Cunha from them.
Cunha, 23, is a young Brazilian striker that’s currently playing for La Liga side Atletico Madrid.
The centre-forward has endured a difficult season so far, scoring zero goals in 17 games across all competitions.
However, the South American attacker has shown before he’s got quality, finishing last season with seven goals and seven assists in 38 matches for Atletico.
It’s been a tough few months on the pitch for Cunha, who could now be offered a fresh start elsewhere.

Chelsea offered Matheus Cunha
According to the Evening Standard, Chelsea have been given the opportunity by Atletico to sign Cunha.
The report adds the Spanish club have put Joao Felix on the table for the Blues, too.
For Chelsea, they need attackers that score regularly and can improve this inconsistent forward line at Stamford Bridge. That’s why the speculation linking them to goal-shy Cunha is a worry.
The 23-year-old’s not a bad player and the trickster has shown his value in the past. For example, talkSPORT reported back in the summer that Manchester United were even closing in on a £42million transfer for Cunha.
It’s unclear on how much Atletico actually want to sell Cunha for now, but the fact they’re offering him out to clubs suggests his days in Madrid may be numbered.

Fabrizio Romano reported on Thursday that Chelsea are closing in on a deal to sign 19-year-old Molde striker David Datro Fofana.
With Fofana expected to complete a move to Stamford Bridge, will Graham Potter’s side need to sign another forward in the New Year.
As it stands, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Kai Havertz are the only genuine options in the current squad that can play the No.9 role.
