Reports have claimed that Chelsea have still shown no interest in signing Eden Hazard when he leaves Real Madrid.

According to The Athletic, the La Liga and European Champions have been trying to get him to leave since the summer of 2021.

The tale of the Belgian is an undoubtedly sad one, with Chelsea fans always holding a place in their hearts for him due to the magic he brought to Stamford Bridge.

He went out in a blaze of glory, scoring twice in the Europa League final which turned out to be his last game with the club.

Despite the plethora of trophies he has won since his move to the Bernabeu, things have simply not been the same on the pitch.

Injuries and a host of off-the-field issues have resulted in the Belgian being a shadow of his former self, something that was evident in the recent World Cup in Qatar.

Eden Hazard return to Chelsea not on the cards

Hazard was captain as his country looked to make one final impression with the ‘golden generation’ before the majority of them departed the international scene.

However, he was unable to affect the tournament, dropping to the bench for the majority of the group games as they crashed out.

With his Madrid career set to come to an end sooner rather than later, there will be much speculation about where his next home could be.

It seems poetic that he is linked with it being Chelsea, where he has enjoyed the best moments of his career.

However, The Athletic have claimed that no conversations between the two parties have ever taken place.

The winger is in his least desirable position of all time right now, and Chelsea have just invested heavily in the left-wing position with the signing of Mykhailo Mudryk.
