Rival Premier League clubs have apparently made their feelings known about Chelsea following their mad move for Mykhailo Mudryk.
According to the Independent, there is a general sense around the English top-flight ‘are getting involved in everything’ after they muscled Arsenal out of the way for the Shakhtar Donetsk attacker.
It was reported yesterday that Chelsea had secured the services of Mudryk, with just the finer details of the deal needing to be ironed out.
Stamford Bridge co-owner Behdad Eghbali and director of global transfers Paul Winstanley apparently jetted off to Turkey to complete the transfer.
They then brought the 22-year-old back to the UK on their own private jet ahead of his medical in the capital.
This swift seizure of the Ukrainian international has largely come at the expense of Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta’s employers looked poised to land Mudryk, with the player himself constantly making references about becoming a Gunner.
Yet, Chelsea clearly couldn’t stand a close adversary securing the services of a highly rated, young talented forward.
So, they decided to out-pay Arsenal.
A manoeuvre that has not only seemingly aggravated Arteta’s bosses, but the rest of the division as well.
