Reports have claimed that Joao Felix has now been offered to another Premier League club by Atletico Madrid after his Chelsea loan came to an end.

According to The Sun, Newcastle United are the latest side to be given the chance to sign the 23-year-old this summer.

It was reported earlier this week that Felix would not be returning to Stamford Bridge after his loan spell with the club came to an end at the end of the season.

It has been claimed that it was the decision of Mauricio Pochettino to not extend his tenure with the club, whether that be on a permanent basis or another loan.

The Portugal international endured a divisive loan spell in West London, with him at times looking one of the most talented footballers in the world.

However, his inability to provide goals and assists on a regular basis will have worried some that they were signing a player with a profile they already have plenty of at the club.

Atletico are reportedly keen to get rid of the expensive star though, and have reportedly looked elsewhere in their quest to find him a new home.

They have reportedly now approached Newcastle in an attempt to find a team who will spend the big money on Felix.

Eddie Howe’s side enjoyed a sensational campaign this season and finished third in the table, meaning they have qualified for the Champions League.

They will need to strengthen their depth if they want to compete in Europe as well as England, and Felix certainly has experience playing at the highest level in this competition.

However, with the way Newcastle have been making signings so far, it is unlikely they smash their transfer record to bring in the former Chelsea man.
