Leeds United are reportedly plotting a move to sign Sergino Dest following similar intrigue from Chelsea.
According to TEAMtalk, Leeds have set their sights on the Barcelona defender, after the Stamford Bridge hierarchy did so in January.
A quest for Dest
Chelsea were heavily linked to Dest throughout the winter window, as they attempted to find cover for their two injured wing-backs.

Ben Chilwell and Reece James missed the entire month, meaning Thomas Tuchel had to rely heavily on Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta.
Tuchel’s employers approached Lyon on several occasions about recalling Emerson Palmieri early from his loan spell yet were rejected each time.
Eventually, they did recall a left-back in the form of Kenedy, who was on loan at Flamengo.
Whilst the Blues attempted to end Emerson’s French stint prematurely, they also apparently had their eye on Barca’s speedy full-back.
According to Sport, Chelsea were willing to go all out for Dest’s signature if Barca decided to let him loose before the end of his contract, which ends in 2025.
However, the Spanish side stood firm against the advances of the European champions.
They kept hold of the American international, despite him being absent through injury and illness at the time.
Sergino or Sergi-yes
He is still in Xavi’s plans, holding a similarly important role with the national team.
“Sergino is an interesting player because it’s almost like the sky’s the limit for him,” said the Stars and Stripes coach Gregg Berhalter last October.

“He can be as good as he wants to be and you saw today with his attacking play. It’s unreal.”
Dest did not play in any of the recent World Cup qualifiers because of a possible hamstring problem, but should be on the plane to Qatar if he is available.
By that stage, the 21-year-old might be playing for Leeds, who are hoping to bolster their squad if they can stay in the Premier League.
Maybe we will see you at Stamford Bridge sometime, Sergino!
