Manchester City are reportedly prepared to lay down an earth shattering offer to sign Josko Gvardiol ahead of Chelsea.
According to Footmercato, Pep Guardiola’s employers want to blow the competition for Gvardiol’s signature out of the water by making him the most expensive defender of all time.
City are apparently equipped to offer RB Leipzig £94m pounds for their prized asset.

This would squash the previous the previous record set by Harry Maguire’s £80m move to Manchester United in 2019.
Chelsea and City come to blows over Gvardiol
It suitably highlights how respected Gvardiol is by the highest echelons of European football that he could be sold for such an astronomical price.
At just 20-years of age, he has already captured the attentions of millions across the globe, thanks to his performances at the World Cup.
Described as ‘unbelievable’ by Dean Ashton, the centre-back has been at the very heart of Croatia’s run to the semi-final; he was only a teenager when Luka Modric and co. last reached the final four.
But even in his youth days, Gvardiol was seemingly on the radar of the continent’s big hitters.
Chelsea apparently started collecting data on the Leipzig player four years ago, and have kept him on their radar ever since.
Now, they are eager to finish off nearly half a decade of trailing by signing the Croatian international.

Todd Boehly better move fast, however, as City look primed and ready to launch a mammoth offer that the Bundesliga side may not be able to turn down.
Boehly has supposedly tried to keep up with the Etihad hierarchy by throwing £80m in Leipzig’s direction.
But that’s pennies compared to £94m…
