Newcastle United are reportedly more intent than Chelsea to sign Leandro Trossard from Brighton & Hove Albion.
According to TEAMtalk, the interest from Saint James’ Park directed towards Trossard is far stronger than that of Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea and the Toon Army have been linked to the Belgium international for quite a while now, and appear to be in a tussle for his services.
The 28-year-old has been enjoying a brilliant domestic campaign with Brighton, scoring seven times and providing a further three assists in the Premier League.

His form did not carry on over until the World Cup, however, as the forward was unable to help Belgium break out of the group stage.
He started just one of the three matches, and was hauled off after an hour during the 0-0 draw with Croatia.
Leandro Trossard torn between Chelsea and Newcastle
Trossard can now turn his focus to sending the Seagulls further up the table, but also potentially where he might want to play his football next season.
He seemingly has a choice between staying by the South Coast, heading to South West London or the North of England.
His contract expires in the summer, although TEAMtalk claim the attacker’s employers will exercise their right to take up the one-year option in his deal.
Brighton may avoid losing Trossard on a free, but offers are still likely to fly their way from the Magpies and the Blues.

A reunion with Graham Potter might well be a key selling point for Brighton’s top scorer, having been separated from the manager by Chelsea in September.
But if he is basing his decision on league position and potential projection, Newcastle win that battle hands down right now.
