Newcastle United have told Chelsea they don’t want to sign Christian Pulisic from them this summer, according to reports.
The Athletic explains that Premier League side Newcastle are expected to be busy in the transfer window after securing Champions League football for next season.
It is understood that they enquired about signing Christian Pulisic on loan last summer.
However, the report claims that they’ve already informed Chelsea they won’t be in the race to sign the 24-year-old winger in the upcoming transfer window.
Despite Newcastle withdrawing themselves from the transfer chase, Pulisic is still linked with numerous other clubs ahead of the window.
Journalist Simon Phillips claimed on his Substack this week that Napoli have been in direction conversations with Pulisic about a possible move to join them.
Elsewhere, Sky Italy recently said that Italian rivals AC Milan are also looking at a potential swoop for Pulisic.
The American forward may have just endured a very poor individual season, scoring once and making two assists in 30 appearances.
