Chelsea star Thiago Silva is attracting interest from several unnamed clubs, according to reports.
Football London claims that multiple unnamed sides from Saudi Arabia have made contact with Chelsea about the 38-year-old defender.
It is understood that the Blues want to keep their Brazilian centre-back, who still has one more year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge.
However, the report does add that the club won’t stand in Thiago Silva’s way if he does want to exit this summer.
Intermediaries are currently in discussions with Chelsea and those unnamed clubs about a possible transfer in the summer.
At the age of 38, Silva may still be the best player in this current Chelsea squad.
We’ve heard conflicting comments in the media recently about the player’s future, but whatever happens there’s no doubt he’s still good enough to perform at the highest level.
Extra Globo claimed earlier this month that Silva had made his mind up and wants to leave Chelsea this summer to secure a return to his native Brazil.
However, Silva recently confirmed that he plans to complete his Chelsea deal until the summer of 2024 unless the next manager doesn’t want him.
Chelsea have just two games left this week to complete a miserable 2022/23 season, which can’t come quick enough for the supporters.
Silva is one of the few positives in the squad that has kept standards high for most of the campaign.
