Wolverhampton Wanderers have been pushing to sign Armando Broja from Chelsea.

That is according to various reports in the transfer rumour mill.

Armando Broja, who’s just 22, continues to be linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in the final days of the January window.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed via X earlier today that Chelsea just rejected an approach from Wolves to take Broja on loan.

Now, The Express and Star has shared the chances of the Blues striker ending up at Molineux Stadium before deadline day ends.

They claim that Chelsea did turn down Wolves’ offer to take Broja on loan.

It is explained that the Blues want any deal to include an obligation to buy, with the fee likely to be upwards of £30 million.

The report says that Wolves have financial concerns right now, so they won’t sign the 22-year-old centre-forward unless the deal is a straight loan.

In addition, The Express and Star rates this transfer as ‘unlikely’ at this moment in time because Chelsea won’t budge on their stance. Mauricio Pochettinno’s side won’t let their academy graduate leave this window unless there’s an obligation to buy.

Armando Broja unlikely to join Wolves

Broja’s been a little underwhelming in the first half of the season, with the player unable to get back to his form before a serious knee injury. Let’s remember he’s still only 22, though.

We don’t see the Albania international getting many starts if Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson stay fit in the next few months.

We think Wolves may have been a decent fit for Broja to rediscover his best form, but it may need someone else to swoop in during the eleventh hour to find him a new club.

It’s going to be an interesting next 48 hours for the Chelsea centre-forward.
