On-loan Chelsea star Levi Colwill is already on the radar of several Premier League and Championship sides thanks to his performances for Huddersfield Town.

This is according to the Daily Mail, who say the 18-year-old has grabbed the attention of clubs from England’s top two divisions following a fine half-season with the Terriers.

Colwill catching the headlines

It should come as no surprise that the young defender is being watched closely up and down the country.

He has excelled since trading the glossy Cobham pitches for the equally impressive Canalside Sports Complex over the summer.

The teenager has been a fine addition to Carlos Corberán’s defensive line following that loan move from Chelsea.

Colwill enters into 2022 with 20 appearances under his belt for Huddersfield, 19 of those in the Championship.

His year couldn’t have ended in a much better fashion.

A 1-0 away win at Nottingham Forest not only maintained the team’s promotion push, but it continued the centre-back’s strong case to be a top-flight player.

Chelsea’s academy product picked up the man-of-the-match award for helping Huddersfield’s land their eighth clean sheet of the campaign.

Uncoincidentally, all of those shutouts have been achieved with Colwill keeping watch.

One of their own

Whilst suitors from the primary tiers look very fondly upon the England Under-21 international, his Stamford Bridge employers must also be gazing kindly over at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Thomas Tuchel could be hit with a centre-half exodus in January, as Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta are all on the verge of leaving the Blues.

Of course, Chelsea could splash the cash as they usually do on a new defender.

Or, to please the fans, they might want to save their pennies and give Colwill a spin in the big time.

There are certainly far worse money-saving schemes out there.
