Reports suggest Thomas Tuchel has been fundamental in convincing Raheem Sterling to join Chelsea this summer.
According to 90min, the German has promised the 27-year-old that he’ll be a key part of their plans going forward under new owner Todd Boehly.

The Blues’ interest in Sterling is now well-documented, with them keen to sign a forward with a proven Premier League goal threat.
The England international has over 100 goals in the league, after representing both Liverpool and Manchester City, putting him in an exclusive club of players to reach the century mark.
Tuchel has convinced Sterling
Tuchel has been allowed to have his say on players to come through the door this summer, with Boehly aiming to keep one of the world’s best managers at Stamford Bridge.
It appears the German sees Sterling as the marquee signing of the summer, with 90min reporting his influenced has convinced the Manchester City man to move back to the city he grew up in.
The report also claims that Chelsea are confident the deal is imminent, after offering a lucrative contract to match their strong admiration of the Englishman.
Tuchel and Chelsea’s desire to sign Sterling should not be seen as a surprise, with the traits he has developed at the Etihad perfect for what the club need.

The current crop of Blues wingers have lacked a regular goal threat, with it being difficult at times for the manager to name a consistent forward line who were playing well.
Sterling’s desire to move has come as a result of an embarrassment of riches at the club, with Jack Grealish, Riyad Mahrez, Phil Foden and Gabriel Jesus all competing for only three positions.
Despite struggling to start regularly, he consistently gained praise from manager Pep Guardiola, who labelled him as ‘amazing’ last season.
While the England international saw his minutes drop over the last couple of seasons, there’s no doubt he would strengthen the Blues, as they look to close the gap to City next season.
