Thomas Tuchel has reportedly been granted permission from the new Chelsea ownership to have a big influence on transfers this summer.
According to The Telegraph, the new Blues hierarchy have “promised” the German manager he can take a lead role on the club’s transfer business moving forward.
It is understood that Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is going to get a similar kind of power to his Premier League managerial counterparts Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp, who are both so influential at Manchester City and Liverpool, respectively.
The report explains the new owners feel the 48-year-old coach at Stamford Bridge is pivotal to plans moving forward, so giving him more say in the transfer dealings makes sense.

Tuchel influence on Chelsea transfers

The club’s new ownership, which is a consortium that includes Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital, have recognised they’ve got the right individual in the managerial hotseat.
However, only time will tell whether he should help mastermind the transfer targets.
It’s got to be said the club’s success rate in the transfer market has been hit and miss in recent years.
Sky Sports chief reporter Kaveh Solhekol recently claimed there will be “significant funds” available this summer for Chelsea to spend on improving the squad. Let’s see where Tuchel thinks needs strengthening most.
