It has been reported that Cristiano Ronaldo could be about to miss Manchester United’s pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia.
According to the Athletic, the 37-year-old is not expected to train with the club again today, with Chelsea being mentioned as a potential suitor for the sensational move.
Rumours began to circulate that the United legend wants out of Old Trafford, with the club’s inability in the transfer market reportedly failing to match his ambitions.

Despite his 24 goals in all competitions last season, the ‘world-class’ striker saw his side finish sixth, missing out on Champions League football and setting Ronaldo up for his first Europa League campaign.
This news of his want to leave piqued owner Todd Boehly’s interest, with him extremely interested in a deal for the Portugal international.
The American has reportedly been in contact with the forward’s agent, Jorge Mendes, in an attempt to pitch the project and beliefs at Stamford Bridge.
Ronaldo could miss pre-season tour
This is despite it being believed that Thomas Tuchel didn’t suggest a move for Ronaldo, with the Chelsea boss more interested in finalising a deal for Raheem Sterling.

However, the Blues may be encouraged to test the waters with the Portuguese star missing training again, with the Athletic suggesting there are no guarantees that he will travel with the club on their pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia on Friday.
The opportunity to sign a player the calibre of Ronaldo does not come along often, despite him entering the twilight of his career. That being said, he signifies a deal Chelsea have been looking to avoid all summer.
The club’s pursuit of Raheem Sterling, Raphinha and Ousmane Dembele gives a clear indicator of the type of player Tuchel wants at his disposal next season. With it being claimed the owner and manager are working together on deals, Boehly would do well not to overstep purely based on the player’s name.
