It seems the decision-makers at Chelsea could not agree on signing one player in the last transfer window.
Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic was a player some at Chelsea liked in the summer, according to football.london journalist Bobby Vincent.
However, Vincent has also claimed that others at Stamford Bridge were not too keen on the Serbian.
He is once again being linked with a move to west London and is not having the worst campaign. In 17 Serie A appearances, Vlahovic has scored seven goals.
Juventus signed the 23-year-old from Fiorentina back in 2022 in a £66.6m deal (Sky Sports).
Some at Chelsea did not want Dusan Vlahovic
Vincent was asked about Chelsea’s interest in Vlahovic in a Q+A and the journalist explained how he is viewed at the club.
On the Serbia international, he said: “He was liked by some at Chelsea in the summer but others decided he was not the one. Unless that has changed – and it hasn’t as far as I know – then it seems unlikely right now.”

Chelsea split on Dusan Vlahovic
It is not too much of a surprise to hear that there was a split when it came to Vlahovic last summer.
In Serie A, Vlahovic has proven that he is a very good striker. In total, he has scored 68 goals in 157 appearances in the competition, according to Transfermarkt.
However, the former Fiorentina star has had some injury problems and his wages, as shown on Capology, are not exactly small. You can see, then, why some at Chelsea were against bringing him to Stamford Bridge.
Honestly, given the inexperience of Nicolas Jackson, signing Vlahovic would not have been a bad idea. In the end, though, he just had too many doubters on the Chelsea board and in the recruitment team it seems.
